About Pino Silvestre

Pino Silvestre began in Venice in 1955, when perfumer Lino Vidal composed a men's pine cologne and named it for the Italian Scots pine. The green pinecone bottle is the house signature: a forest note you can hold, not a generic designer flask.

The brand stayed with the Vidal family, later passed through Henkel, and returned when Massimo Vidal founded Mavive in 1986 and brought Pino Silvestre back under the family. In 2023 the original formula was archived at the Osmothèque in Versailles as a classic of international perfumery.
